When I first started to research an artist to inspire my final ceramics project ever I narrowed my search to artists that incorporate nature into their work. I did this to find an artist that had a similar artistic voice as me. I have incorporated nature into many of my pieces throughout my ceramics career and I wanted my teapot to fit with all the others. When I first came across Carol Longs work it struck me by how unique and intricate it was. She is obsessed with nature and included plants and animals into all her pieces. The beauty and grace of them inspired my idea of creating a teapot with a lattice all around that is connected to the top and is removable
